DevLaTron.Net – My little space on the Grid.

Hello, world! I am Tom “DevLaTron” Geiger, and this is my modest corner on the Grid.

Why “DevLaTron” you might ask? Well, it’s quite simple… I’m a Dev, and I like Tron… the La just fell in there somehow.

In the ever-evolving world of IT, we all adapt and grow. After three decades of being an internet user (Hey, FIDONet, is that you?) and a quarter-century of experience in the IT industry, with more than half of them in Game Development, I believe it’s time to give my personal website a new look. This redesign is not as much about aesthetic as it is about refocusing and aligning the site with my current perspectives, experiences, and plans for the future. Also, my graphic design skill have never been any good anyways. 🙂

This revamp of my digital home is intended to offer a deeper understanding of my practices and personal philosophy. I aim to share insights into my work methodologies, the principles that guide me, and the reasons behind my decisions. Additionally, I believe in the importance of work-life balance and integration. I’ll also openi up a small window into my private life, for a more rounded picture of who I am.

A lot of the content here is of course based around IT. But there’s some creative aspects, and even some natural ones around here somewhere. Have a look at the top bar for your content options.

Enjoy your visit. And see you on the Grid!

A picture how AI interprets my home on the Grid. Enjoy your stay. DevLaTron

PS: As it seems custom these days, here’s what “AI” thought my home on the Grid would look like. Not that bad, I think. I’m looking forward to seeing how “AI” will change the way we interact with the digital world. I do think that we’ll experience quite a shakeup during the rest of my lifetime, and looking back as a Gen. X… it’s been one hell of a ride so far!
